International Partnership – Practical Visit of SIMS Chancellor to the University College of Professional Education in Wroclaw
On 26th July 2025, the Chancellor of SIMS had the honour of visiting the University College of Professional Education in Wroclaw, Poland, at the invitation of the university’s International Cooperation Centre. The visit was a testament to the effective and increasingly strong partnership, as well as the growing international standing of both WSKZ in particular and SIMS in general.
During the meeting, the Chancellor and the leadership of WSKZ discussed further development steps regarding the cooperation between SIMS and the Centre, which had been agreed upon and formalised recently. This laid the foundation for a strategic bilateral partnership model.
In the discussion, our Chancellor had the opportunity to meet Professor Dr Andrzej Misiuk, an outstanding scholar in the field of Security in Poland and internationally. His contributions to research, international scientific committees, and global projects truly add valuable significance to our academic cooperation.
Also present were Dr Irena Malinowska, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, who plays a key role in setting the academic direction of the university, and Ms Aleksandra Siewert, Vice-Rector for International Contacts, who serves as an active bridge in promoting the global engagement of WSKZ.
It was not just a visit – but a shared vision for joint development between the two institutions.
A number of future activities were discussed, such as joint research, lectures by visiting professors, opportunities for student and faculty exchanges for internships, as well as co-authored international publications. There was also a discussion on dual-degree based programmes, allowing our students to gain the highest level of knowledge and experience by taking advantage of the resources of both universities.
Our Chancellor was very proud to represent SIMS in this partnership, and she believes that this will be a milestone for joint development in vocational education and scientific advancement. SIMS looks forward to the next steps in the cooperation to jointly enhance the quality of education and research.
